This West Coast dance, originally called Campbellocking after its creator Don Campbell, emerged in Los Angeles, California in the 1970s. Influenced by soul, funk, and popular soul dances of the era, it became iconic through the performances of The Lockers, known for their vibrant personalities and signature attire—brightly colored shirts, knee-high socks, bow ties, and apple hats.

Characterized by the “Lock,” points, wrist twirls, handshakes, knee drops, freezes, and splits, Locking is a fun and energetic style.

Join us to learn how to Lock, Point, give yourself five, Scooby Doo, and Skeeter Rabbit! Curious? Come discover these moves and much more!
